REPORT ON CONSCIENTISATION PROGRAMME CONSCIENTISATION Conscientisation is a popular education and social concept developed by Brazilian educational theorist Paulo Freire. it includes taking action against the oppresive elements in one's life that are illuminated by understanding. it is the process of developing a critical awareness of one's social reality through reflection and action. Paulo Freire says that we all acquire social myths which have a dominent tendency, and so learning is a critical process which depends upon uncovering real problems and actual needs.
